Remotely monitored CCTV is a cost effective method of monitoring a site 24 hours a day without the huge costs normally associated with providing 24 hour manned cover.

In its simplest form, a system is set when the protected premises are unoccupied, and then activated by movement detectors or other detection devices. The system transmits the picture from each camera that as been activated, and the controller decides on what action is to be taken depending on the instructions agreed with the customer. Criminal actions are immediately reported to the police. Because the controller can give accurate information regarding the number of people involved, the exact location, and what they are doing, the police are able to respond with the required force.

Using the latest technology, the system has sophisticated data compression. This means the first image is transmitted with little delay, and allows the use of normal telephone lines to provide almost real time viewing and control of cameras. The systems are fitted, as standard, with the capabilities to transmit audio.
