INTERACTIVE MONITORING OF CCTV |

What is Interactive Monitoring?
Interactive Monitoring takes the role of Video verification a step further by providing interaction between people on a remote site and an operator at our Remote Monitoring Centre. Interactive Monitoring is a very effective way of letting unwanted personnel know they are being watched and are not welcome.
A staff member working in a petrol station late at night is concerned about behavior of people on the forecourt, the staff member presses a panic button where the Remote Monitoring Centre are alerted and follow the actions of the individuals on the forecourt. The Remote Monitoring Centre then follows the actions of the individuals, audio challenge or contact the authorities where necessary and simultaneously provide audible feedback to the staff member on what is happening.

A young woman is waiting alone at the bus stop. She is joined by a man who makes unwanted advances and makes her feel uneasy. GB Alarms have installed a Help Point on the wall near the bus stop. The woman activates this and the Remote Monitoring Centre immediately view and speak to the lady to determine the problem, assess the situation and can take action - giving a warning to the man, alerting the police and keeping the woman on camera should she leave the bus station and head back into the town centre.

From these above scenarios just having a CCTV camera at the location would not have been effective enough. Many CCTV cameras are not monitored, once an intruder knows they are being monitored and the police have been alerted they will very rarely stay.
Not only does Interactive Monitoring tackle unwanted personnel but it also helps keep the public and members of staff safe giving them peace of mind that the system is there if they need it for their safety.
