Keypad Code / Pin Access Control
A keypad based solution is a very cost effective way of preventing unauthorised access. Multiple-keypad systems can allow the movement of people through a property. They can be networked together so that setting-up access is simple and can be done from one location. If this is not required each keypad can be programmed individually, which can reduce the expense of the system.
Swipe Card Access Control
Swipe-Card based systems allow users to access a property by swiping a uniquely coded access card through a reader. This allows security personnel to program different sets of access criteria for each access point. The swipe cards are credit card sized and are very inexpensive, which makes them very suitable for premises with large numbers of users.
Proximity Access Control
Proximity-based access control establishes the identity of users in much the same way as a swipe card system. The difference is that they are not required to insert or swipe a card to gain access. The user simply holds their proximity tag or card within a given distance of a proximity reader and the system reads the data within it. Proximity systems are very user friendly. The tag is designed so that it can be carried everywhere so that the user does not forget it, and lost tags can be removed from the system within seconds.
