GB Alarms are a nationally recognised supplier of sophisticated CCTV systems. We install remotely monitored systems that use broadband and telecoms networks to our fully approved Remote Video Monitoring Centre.
We are driving forward the development of standards in a rapidly changing technology market. We are also at the start of a new marketing initiative that will create significant increase in leads, turnover and as a result opportunities within the business as it expands.
We are looking for someone to assist our CCTV Director, one of the country's leading authorities on remotely monitored CCTV systems, in a technical role, including:
* Programming of equipment ready for installation (Transmitters, DVR's, PLC's etc.).
* Site Fault Finding - Support engineers in fault finding on installations and service.
* Monitoring Centre Maintenance - Support ongoing advancement of monitoring centre capabilities (hardware, software and infrastructure).
* New product testing - Identify new product capabilities and suitability.
* New installation commissioning
* Technical training for installation/service engineers
A successful applicant will have a good degree in an electronics related subject who wants a career in electronic security. The applicant will be motivated and ambitious to learn and develop into a key member of the organisation. The following skills will be vital to achieve this:
* Fundamental understanding of electronics.
* Understanding of IP networks.
* Practical mindset.
The job is based in Donington, Spalding and the person would need to live within a reasonable distance of the office.
A good package will be provided including vehicle and pension. There are good prospects for promotion and increased salary for the right applicant.
